Injuries and suspensions mount, Arsene clueless

It is not a fully grown absentees’ list but Arsenal will again have missing men in the next fixture due to another injury set-back for Bacary Sagna while Fabregas’ acquisition of a fifth yellow card on Saturday implies that he will face suspension.
The duo are arguably the most countable to face these tough times which was further impaired by the embarrassing home defeat by Aston Villa.
Sagna has been ruled out until December while Fabregas’ one-game ban is the crucial visit to Manchester City next weekend. Robin van Persie will cause some gain with a return from his own suspension, but even Arsenal’s boss is clueless about how his side’s inconsistent season has brought them back into another bleep yet again.
Wenger’s explanation was quite shallow.
“It’s been unbelievable,” Wenger went on. “We won on Saturday and Tuesday and were on a high. But you felt there was no energy left in the side.
“I don’t have a rational explanation because we tried to make sure that everybody was on top of their game. It didn’t work. Maybe it’s down to the quality of Villa’s performance, I don’t know.”
