PICTURE SPECIAL: Adebayor at award ceremony

As you may know, injury did not stop Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor from snapping up yet another African gong after being recognized by Super Magazine a couple of months ago.

He is now officially the best performer of all African players, and CAF’s recognitions have always been the most indisputable.

Congratulations to the Togolese, and below are shots of him at the award ceremony held by the Confederation of African Football.

  4. Because he is Egyptian…that explains it all.

They are Africans, but their culture varies much from the typical Black-African style that we know.

  8. Egyptians are Arabs..there are not really continental Africans…hence the reason my the Egyptian brethren is wearing a suit and Adebayor is wearing what we call an “Agbada”.

  11. Fuck sake you people are miopic, xenophobic idiots. There are 50 different nations in Africa. Just because they’re all in Africa doesn’t mean they’ll all look and dress the same. Just cos a Togolese guy wears that doesn’t mean an Egyptian has to wear it too. Cultures are very different between nations north and south of the Sahara. Get some culture.

  14. wtf, I know it’s hard to remember (and getting increasingly harder), but Adebayor was pretty good last season!

I wish I knew what the problem is this season. Adebayor and Bendtner neither look like they can be arsed. Perhaps it’s because of some paralyzing virus that has struck all the tall players at the Arsenal.

  15. wtf, you are not an Arsenal fan and you cant be a soccer fan because you are too ignorant. The prize is for last season and not this one. How many goals did Eto’o score compared to Ade.

  17. Ade’s effort levels has been shockingly bad this season. It’s almost like he thinks he’s Henry. But Henry earned the right to play like that by being one of the most gifted footballers in the world over a number of years.

  18. I dont think it is really a lack of culture but rather a lack of tollerance but by the same rule we need to tollerate that lack of tollerance.

Ade’s poor form could be attributed to the fact Arsenal haven’t been very creative this season and the midfield for most part has been functional.

Once the likes of Fab, Walcott,Rosicky, Arshavin & Nasri get to play together I’m sure our forwards will improve but Bendtner for me isn’t good enough for Arsenal
