Don’t tell my boss! Arsenal defender resumes partying as Manchester United star joins in
His future at Arsenal may remain in doubt but Andre Santos is having no worries at the moment.
Indeed, the Brazilian is doing his best to relieve much of the stress which came through criticisms over his abysmal performances during the 2012/13 season.
The 30-year-old held a big party on Tuesday night in his homeland to savour his short summer vacation and the guests included several members of the Brazilian national team including close friend Anderson of Manchester United.
Santos, who has failed to impress most of the Arsenal faithful, did not help his chances with another sub-par effort in Brazil during his six-month loan move to Gremio where he missed a penalty-kick in a cup semi-final in April.
Gremio’s director of football Marcos Chitolina has already confirmed that Arsenal’s £5.9million signing from Fenerbahce will no longer remain with the club.
And with Santos set to move back to London in July, Arsenal are understood to have informed the defender’s representatives that they will be considering any offers for the Sao Paulo-born man.
