Loic Remy is now forcing a move to London.

The French striker who has been linked with a switch to the Emirates stadium has reportedly alerted officials at his parent club Queens Park Rangers that he is prepared to submit a transfer request.

Remy has already completed his loan spell with Newcastle after withdrawing from the squad for yesterday’s season finale against Liverpool, complaining about a ‘knock’ picked up in training.

The striker is currently awaiting the news that he has been included in France’s 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup but Remy has also made it clear that his commitment to QPR will come to an end this summer.

Reports are now suggesting that Remy has called for a meeting with QPR owner Tony Fernandes and his agent for permission to speak to a new club with Arsenal touted as his preferred destination.

Indeed, Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Remy since his days in France with Lens and Maresille but the Gunners failed to secure his services last summer when QPR were ready to offload the striker on any loan deal.

Even though the 27-year-old claims his future will be decided after the World Cup, he did his best to stir rumours over a move to Arsenal after turning up at the Emirates stadium during the Gunners’ final home game of the campaign just over a week ago.

Remy netted 14 goals in the Premier League this season despite an injury-plagued campaign in a Newcastle shirt.
