Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has added his efforts to the current media outrage over Arsenal’s erratic form.

Arsene Wenger’s men succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Olympiacos on Tuesday, a home fixture which Arsenal were expected to win ahead of back-to-back clashes with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

That surprise result has revived usual criticism that Arsenal are not ready to fully compete with Europe’s elite clubs.

And ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester United, Roy Keane has reminded the Gunners of their deficiencies.

“They’re soft, They’re weak,” Keane said on ITV’s Champions League highlights show. “The goals they give away… You saw last night, two set-pieces again.

“You’ve got no chance of winning any big game if you defend like that.

“There is a certain weakness to the group. They look like they lack characters, leaders and winners.”
