It was only San Marino but Theo Walcott was back among the goals on Saturday as England thrashed their Euro 2016 qualifying stage opponents 6-0.

Walcott found the net twice, taking his overall tally for the three lions to seven goals after 41 caps.

The 26-year-old is still auditioning for a role as a centre-forward for Arsenal and despite the inferiority of Saturday’s opposition, Walcott’s confidence has been boosted.

Oxlade-Chamberlain also played and recorded an assist in England’s victory over San Marino, a day after Mesut Ozil starred for Germany in a 3-1 win over Poland.
