Kierran Gibbs, Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta have all recovered from injury problems to resume training with the first team.

The trio were present in the Gunners’ training session on Friday morning as the squad prepared for the Premier League clash with Newcastle.

Arteta is still regaining his match fitness following a calf strain while Gibbs is fit again after being forced off by cramps during the 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

Flamini on the other hand, was ordered to train individually for much of Friday’s session as he aims to shrug off the inflamed ankle which saw him ruled out on Monday.

With six senior players still injured, Arsene Wenger called upon youngsters Dan Crowley, Chris Willock, Ben Sheaf, Glen Kamara, Matt Macey, Alex Iwobi and Jeff Reine-Adelaide as usual to train ahead of the weekend.
