Gunners to sanction six-month loan deal
Emerging reports are suggesting that Arsenal have agreed to speak to Charlton Athletic over a move for Serge Gnabry ahead of the deadline for loan deals of that sort next month.
The German midfielder returned to north London in January after an unsuccessful loan at West Brom was brought to an early end.
Gnabry, who only made one appearance in the Premier League for the baggies, was rarely favoured by Tony Pulis who publicly criticized him for lacking full fitness.
Arsene Wenger recently confirmed his intent to send out Gnabry on another loan spell and according to reports, Charlton Athletic have held new talks with the club over a six-month deal for the youngster.
The second division side attempted to secure the a deal for the winger ahead of the January transfer window’s deadline but a complete agreement with Arsenal and personal terms for Gnabry was not sealed.
The emergency loan window opens on Tuesday and Football League clubs are set to take full advantage of the window, which runs until 24 March.
Should Gnabry’s loan deal be wrapped up, he will join Mathieu Debuchy, Wojciech Szczesny and Yaya Sanogo on the list of senior players currently searching for regular football elsewhere.
