‘He is awful. What does Wenger see in him?’ – Twitter bashes Arsenal star after Hull City match
Despite being rarely called into action on Saturday, David Ospina did not leave a good impression on a majority of the Emirates stadium crowd.
The Colombian was handed a scarce start as Arsene Wenger’s men were held to a 0-0 draw courtesy of an inspired performance from Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.
A howler in the 3-2 defeat to Olympiakos earlier this season has seen Ospina’s reliability in goal questioned by many in only his second season at the club.
But it appears a few shaky moments he had during this weekend’s cup tie has left more fans short of faith in the 27-year-old.
Here were the views of several Gooners after Ospina’s display against Steve Bruce’s side.
Not playing hurts, but Ospina seems to have really regressed since some of his early performances for the club #AFC

Use to like Ospina but he seems to of gotten worse and worse the longer we've had him.

Don't know about anybody else but after what all that has conspired this season, I've literally got no confidence when Ospina is in goal..

Ospina is awful. What does Wenger see in him??

Have we had a worse keeper than Ospina in the last 15 years?

The only good thing to enjoy when watching Ospina keep is that you appreciate the fact that he isn't 1st choice GK. He's not good at all.

He's out of form admittedly, but the difference between Ospina & Cech is the difference between merely Good and Great.

Cech is so good that he makes Ospina look a bit Almunia-ish

Haven't seen Ospina play since the Zagreb travesty. Need to watch the Monaco debacle to refresh my agenda against him

Ospina is a poverty keeper. Man should be knocking on people's doors, debt collecting. If he could fucking collect.

Always that fear that Ospina could catch it and fling it into our net at any moment… The absolute nutter.

I'll never feel comfortable when it's 0-0 and Ospina's in goal. There's always a dreadful error in him.
