‘Bench him permanently!’ – Twitter reacts to Arsenal star’s performance on Thursday

Criticism leveled at Olivier Giroud over the past few months failed to cease despite the 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.
Arsene Wenger opted to start the French striker for the first time in a while on Thursday as Danny Welbeck returned to the bench.
However, another night without finding the back of the net means that Giroud has now gone 13 games in the league without scoring.
And that is not sitting too well with some of the Arsenal faithful…
At this rate Giroud might leave on the 75th min with some of the fans and we won't notice his absence. Don't know what has happened to him

Tonight should've easily been a 4-0 game, like so many other games this season. Sell Walcott, bench Giroud permanently & sign a proper #9.

Another blank for Giroud. France could realistically enter Euros with a first-choice striker who's without a league goal in five months.

"Giroud must wonder what he has to do to score a goal"
Probably don't hit it straight at the keeper, chief.

Unfortunately Giroud proves that if the team aren't laying it on a plate for him, he seldom affects the game.
Need a WC Striker.
