Lukaku speaks on transfer situation
Romelu Lukaku has broken the silence over rumours linking him with a move away from Everton as Arsenal remain interested in his services.
With Arsene Wenger in search of a new striker following his failed move for Jamie Vardy, Lukaku has been identified as the Frenchman’s new target.
An Italian journalist and other reporters have boldly claimed that the Gunners are in talks with the Everton star over a transfer this summer.
But Lukaku insists any negotiations and paper-works over a deal to leave Goodison Park are currently being handled by his representative.
“It is my agent who is really dealing with that aspect [leaving Everton]. I am just focused on Belgium. For me the most important thing now is my team and helping my teammates.” Lukaku told the media on Friday
The 23-year-old, who is currently on Euro 2016 duty with his country in France, has three more years remaining on his contract with Ronald Koeman’s side.
