Arsenal fans react to Man. City signing on Twitter
Some Arsenal fans appear to be consoling themselves with the fact that other clubs, despite spending more, may have overspent on supposedly average talent in the transfer market.
The Gunners have only secured the additions of Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding ahead of the new season which begins this weekend.
With an inexperienced Holding now bound for a surprise start against Liverpool as Per Mertesacker and Gabriel remain sidelined, the 20-year-old is already being compared to other stars of his generation.
Manchester City announced the signing of John Stones from Everton for a heavy sum of £47.5m on Tuesday.
And since the 22-year-old is seemingly a similar prospect to fellow Englishman Holding, some Arsenal fans have already taken to twitter to bash Pep Guardiola for missing out on Arsene Wenger’s bargain from Bolton.
But are they right?
Arsenal did way better than City did by signing Rob Holding. Stones surpasses David Luiz as the most overpriced piece of shit. Will flop imo

I'd rather gamble with Rob Holding than signing Jonny Evans, don't tell me about experience & medals he's won.Even Bebe won trophies at Utd.

So Stones is worth 40+ mil..why? cos he a ball playing cb, so how much is Rob Holding worth already?
