Ex-Gunner not impressed by new Arsenal signing
Ian Wright has expressed his concern about the true position of new Arsenal signing Lucas Perez after the player’s debut.
The Spaniard made his debut for the Gunners on his 28th birthday as a penalty-kick in injury time handed Arsene Wenger’s side a 2-1 victory at the Emirates stadium.
Perez, who scored 17 goals in La Liga for Deportivo La Coruna last season, was withdrawn after 62 minutes of action on Saturday.
And according to former Arsenal star Ian Wright, early signs of the new player have shown that he might not be the natural centre-forward needed at the Emirates stadium.
“Arsenal need a striker,” Wright told MOTD. “I thought we would see someone more direct. Hopefully that will happen.
“It seemed to me that he’s a winger.”
However, some Arsenal fans are against the idea of making early judgments about the Gunners’ new number 9.
Lucas Perez didn't play a match in 3 weeks. Its not fair to draw definite conclusions after 1 match. This shouldn't be hard to understand.

Lucas Perez was almost at the end of 4 tap-in chances for arsenal yesterday. He's quick and is very good off the ball. He's gonna do fine.
