Sam Allardyce’s first ever announcement of an England squad contained very few surprises as most of Euro 2016’s participants returned to duty.

The new England boss has suggested that he will hand various players a chance to feature for their country after the failures of the previous regime.

But with the likes of Jack Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs all omitted from Allardyce’s squad, it appears the Arsenal contingent have some work to do.

Even so, an injury scare for Manchester United star Luke Shaw handed one of Arsenal’s youngsters a surprise call-up to train with the team.

19-year-old left-back Tafari Moore, who is currently on loan with FC Utrecht, was with the England squad this weekend as a back-up to Danny Rose.
