Some Arsenal fans have been criticised for their attitude towards Arsene Wenger during Saturday’s trip to the KC stadium.

The Gunners responded to a few of their critics with a comprehensive display which saw them defeat Hull City 4-1, only weeks after the Tigers defeated champions Leicester City before being narrowly beaten by Manchester United.

Certain fans maintained their dissatisfaction with Wenger after the Frenchman made another unpopular call of deploying Alexis Sanchez upfront while new signings Lucas Perez and Granit Xhaka remained on the bench.

However, BT Sport pundit Steve McManaman has called for the ‘Wenger Out’ brigade to tone down its voice as the team flourishes.

”When they’ve won at home against Southampton, they’ve got a good result in Paris in midweek, and then they win 4-1 away from home, it’s like, why be negative?” he said

“There are times to be negative, of course there is, but when they’ve won 4-1 and (Alex) Iwobi plays well, let’s be proud of the fact that Iwobi’s played well, not say “why isn’t (Lucas) Perez playing?

“When (Mohamed) Elneny plays, why isn’t Xhaka playing?, you’ve won 4-1, don’t worry about it. Arsenal have got 60 games a season, don’t worry about it.”
