20-year-old: The next player to be added to Arsenal squad
Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi has suggested that Arsene Wenger has more talent to add to the Gunners first team squad.
The Nigerian broke into the senior squad at Arsenal during the second-half of last season after a string of impressive displays in the FA Cup.
Iwobi’s promotion to the first team came a year after Hector Bellerin was handed a similar opportunity following an injury to Mathieu Debuchy.
It appears as though Arsene Wenger gives one new youngster a chance in the first team every season and Iwobi has predicted who it could be this year.
“I don’t really know who to expect, because you never know who will come through.
“But I’d say Chuba Akpom will be the next to join.
“He and Glen Kamara are probably my best friends at the club.
“I’ve known Chuba since I was about three years old – I used to play Sunday League with him for Rippleway in Newham, and now we’re still at Arsenal together.
“Glen came at under-16s and he’s just a joker of the team – I’m really close with him.”
