Arsenal have managed to secure the signing of another highly-rated young player with the transfer window currently closed.

During the summer, Arsene Wenger moved to secure deals for Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding, Takuma Asano, Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez to immediately strengthen his options in the first team.

However, Arsenal have also refused to neglect the future of the club by scouting and bringing in youngsters with bright potential around the the globe.

The latest of those is Alex Crean who was picked out by the Gunners to undergo a trial earlier this month and it looks as though the shot-stopper has impressed the club’s coaching staff.

The 17-year-old, who has represented the Scottish national team at youth level, has agreed to join the Arsenal academy where he will be able to feature at Meadow Park.

Cream is known to be a promising goalkeeper who moved to Crystal Palace last year after leaving his hometown in Scotland.

The teenager decided to end his stay at Palace and will now compete with the likes of Matt Macey, Deyan Iliev, Hugo Keto and Joao Virginia for a starting spot in goal for Arsenal’s youth teams.
