New reports are suggesting yet again that Arsene Wenger has finally come to an agreement over a deal for an important player.

The Arsenal manager has often reiterated that securing the long-term future of all the club’s key players is one of his priorities.

Rumours about the possible departure of Mesut Ozil have been circulating over the past few months with the midfielder’s contract set to expire in less than two years.

The 28-year-old was recently linked with a controversial transfer to Manchester United which would see him double his current wages.

However, if new reports are anything to go by, Ozil appears to have snubbed the interest of Jose Mourinho’s side to agree a new deal which would see him earn €230,000 a week in wages at the Emirates stadium.

The former Real Madrid star has been in mesmerizing form so far this season, racking up an impressive total of seven goals in all competitions which includes a first career hat-trick in the 6-0 victory over Ludogorets recently.

Should Ozil’s new deal be announced soon, the club is likely to turn its focus to Alexis Sanchez who is also on a contract which will expire in 2018.
