Arsenal’s fears over the fitness of a very important player were eased this weekend ahead of next Saturday’s big clash with Manchester United.

The Gunners have made a fairly impressive start to the 2016/17 campaign, going 16 games without defeat in all competitions after the 4-3 loss to Liverpool on the opening day.

Despite the encouraging form of Arsene Wenger’s men, a historically below-par record in November has got many fans concerned after Arsenal began the month with a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

The worries continued earlier in the week as Hector Bellerin succumbed to an ankle injury which will keep him out for several weeks only days before Alexis Sanchez had picked up a calf-problem.

However, the Chilean international’s admirable persistence has seen him make a swift return to training with his national team after initial reports had suggested he could miss months of action.

During the training session in Santiago, Sanchez, who has not fully recovered, was seen with his right calf still wrapped with bandage as he works towards regaining match fitness.
