‘He just isn’t good enough’ – Twitter slams Arsenal star after Ludogorets display
A majority of the Arsenal faithful have voiced their concern over one of the players who featured in the back four against Ludogorets.
Tuesday’s victory over the Bulgarian side was a night to remember for Mesut Ozil after the German international’s sublime winning goal in the 87th minute.
However, it was an outing to forget for several players in Arsenal’s defence who were standing in for the absent trio of Petr Cech, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal.
Bellerin’s replacement, Carl Jenkinson, was making his second ever start for Arsenal in over two years after returning from a long injury lay-off which followed a lengthy loan-spell at West Ham.
The 24-year-old had a part to play in avoiding Ludogorets’ opening goal as Jonathan Cafu crept in to guide the ball home from a free-kick.
And seems as though that moment and Jenkinson’s performance during the full 90 minutes did not go down too well with some fans…
Pray that we don't have to play Jenkinson in the NLD. The Spuds will have him on toast! #AFC

Severely concerned about Jenkinson at right back; he was found wanting on several occasions. Sorry, he just isn't good enough.

Best thing about the win yesterday was watching Jenkinson congratulate Gibbs post Özil goal as if either of them are at all relevant

I understand that Jenkinson was out for months, but what a downgrade from Bellerin he is #Arsenal

While Debuchy sulks, Carl Jenkinson battles back in 9 months from a torn ACL but so called fans want to have a go at him. #StupidFans
