$25.4m deal: Arsenal have ‘entered talks’ with club over transfer next month – Report
Arsenal are reportedly working on a deal to add another new face to the squad when the winter transfer window opens in a few weeks.
The Gunners appear to be reaping the rewards of good investment in the transfer market during the summer after the signing of five new players, four of which were added straight to the first team.
However, Arsene Wenger has continued to be troubled by injuries to key players, especially in attack where the likes of Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez are struggling to stay fit while Danny Welbeck, Yaya Sanogo and Chuba Akpom remain on the sidelines.
Thus, there is now speculation linking the Arsenal manager with a move for one of the Serie A’s highly-rated strikers.
According to the Sun, Wenger is pursuing a move to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca in a cut-price deal which could cost him $25.4m next month.
The report, which certainly has to be taken with a pinch of salt, claims the Gunners have already entered talks with the Italian club over a move which could see the 30-year-old become a back-up to in-form striker Alexis Sanchez.
