Petr Cech has called on the rest of the Arsenal squad as well as the club’s staff to come together for the final months of the season.

Arsene Wenger’s squad has attracted severe negative attention in the media following recent disappointing results in the Premier League and Champions League.

After being omitted from the starting eleven by the manager last weekend, reports suggested that a rift between Alexis Sanchez and his teammates had occurred.

But with an FA Cup semi-final now on the way as the Gunners look to rescue their season, Cech has urged the team to put all rifts aside and fight on.

“The senior players and everyone on the coaching staff needs to make sure that we are ready to finish the last games in the Premier League as well as possible.” the 34-year-old said after Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Lincoln City

“Obviously we are now in the FA Cup semi-final which is very important, and obviously the season might look completely different in a few weeks.”
