Welbeck reveals why he doesn’t care about what he did to Man United fans
Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has opened up about why he is never afraid to hold back his excitement after scoring against Manchester United.
The England international was sold to Arsenal by Louis van Gaal during the summer of 2014 in a $26 million transfer deal.
And even though Welbeck’s career at the Emirates stadium has been plagued by serious injuries so far, the striker has had a few memorable moments.
On Sunday, he managed to score his third goal against United since leaving Old Trafford as the Gunners secured a 2-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s men.
According to Welbeck, his level of professionalism is why there was once again a celebration which angered some fans of his old club.
“I grew up there and everything so it’s a special place in my life,” Welbeck said after the match
“But once we get on that pitch, it’s business. When you score you’ve got to be happy, haven’t you?”
