Arsenal are nearing a deal which will see them lose a first team star according to emerging reports from Sunday evening.

Arsene Wenger has been charged with the task of retaining the services of several unhappy players who have been frustrated by lack of playing time.

David Ospina is certainly one of the men looking for a way out of the club and rumours are now suggesting that his departure is imminent.

According to Turkish source Fanatik, the 28-year-old’s move to Fenerbahce is ‘likely to be completed within a week’.

The report is claiming that Ospina will travel to Istanbul within the next few days to complete the formalities of his transfer to the Turkish club.

Fenerbahce are now expected to wrap up the deal with Arsenal by June 17 after several months of speculation over their pursuit of the Colombian international.

Ospina joined Arsenal from Nice after the 2014 World Cup, but the arrival of Petr Cech a year later saw him lose his place as first choice goalkeeper.
