25-year-old drops hint that Arsenal transfer deal has been agreed
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has dropped a hint on social media which suggests that the club has wrapped up a double transfer deal, only a week after the end of the season.
The Gunners have been linked with a host of players heading into the summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta expected to be appointed as the new manager.
Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Freiburg youngster Çağlar Söyüncü have been identified as targets whom the Gunners are pursuing.
Various rumours have suggested that Arsenal are closing in on deals for the duo, with German source Bild even claiming that Sokratis has agreed a two-year deal to move to London.
A fan on instagram made a comment earlier today that the signings of the two Arsenal targets had been secured by the club.
And Granit Xhaka has done his part to fuel the speculation. The 25-year-old, who moved to the Emirates stadium almost two years ago, ‘liked’ the fan’s comment, further suggesting that the Gunners may indeed be closing in on a double transfer deal.
