One of the Gunners’ new signings has revealed why he has chosen to make a move to the Emirates stadium this summer.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery has done well so far to make as many moves as possible as he looks to strengthen his squad in order to secure a place back in the Champions League.
For much of this summer, there had been serious talks about Lucas Torreira completing a transfer to north London along with several deals which the Gunners had on the table.
The Gunners finally confirmed on Tuesday morning that the 22-year-old had indeed joined the club in a deal which the Guardian have reported to be worth £26.5million.
And after becoming an Arsenal player, the Uruguay international has revealed why he has chosen to leave Sampdoria for north London.
“I like Arsenal because it is a top team. It is a great club playing in the best league in the world.” the midfielder said
“I am also excited about playing with my new teammates.
“I always followed Arsenal because I like Premier League crowds. Stadia are always full! Those things are a source of motivation for me. That’s why I am here today.”
