27-year-old makes decision amid Arsenal transfer interest
One of the Gunners’ main targets in the transfer market has made a decision over his future for now, amid a transfer interest from Arsenal this month.
With Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan injured at the moment, the Gunners have been urged to find more attacking options in the transfer market to maintain any hopes of finishing in the top four.
James Rodriguez has been deemed as one of the players whom Arsenal have been pursuing with some claims of a £3million move being possible earlier this week.
However, according to ESPN, the 27-year-old has made a decision on his future for now and that will be to stay at Bayern Munich until the end of the season.
Napoli were also claimed to be chasing the midfielder who secured an expensive move to Real Madrid a few years ago after his brilliant displays at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Rodriguez is now expected to remain at Bayern, before potentially returning to parent club Madrid at the end of the season. Thus, any suitors of the midfielder will then have to approach the Spanish side about signing him in the summer.
