David Ospina is reportedly awaiting an agreement between Besiktas and Arsenal over his potential transfer to Turkey.
The Colombian, who was signed from Nice after the 2014 FIFA World Cup, replaced Wojciech Szczesny as the Gunners’ first choice goalkeeper two seasons ago.
However, the arrival of Petr Cech from Chelsea saw him lose his place in Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven for much of last term.
According to reports from the Turkish media, via Fanatik, Besiktas have made another enquiry for Ospina after their failed move for the goalkeeper back in January.
Ospina is currently on international duty ahead of the start of Copa America on Friday but he has apparently been informed by the club that his departure will be sanctioned depending on a new offer.
“Since Petr joined we have built a good friendship. However, we are still competing for the spot.” the 27-year-said earlier this year about his future at the Emirates stadium.
