Lacazette reveals why Arsenal might not be his new club
Arsenal target Alexander Lacazette has expressed an interest in a move to Atletico Madrid this summer.
The 25-year-old was strongly linked with a transfer switch to the Emirates stadium last year but a deal failed to be completed despite Arsenal’s offer.
Ahead of this summer’s transfer window, Lacazette, who is priced at £50 million by Lyon, is once again rumoured to be on the radar of Arsene Wenger.
However, the Gunners now face competition from Atletico Madrid according to various reports over the past couple of months.
And to make matters worse for Arsenal, Lacazette has now admitted in an interview that he is rather an admirer of the Spanish club.
“Yes, I like them.” he said, as quoted by the Sun
“They’ve got great players, a great manager, a good fanbase and Antoine [Griezmann] is there.
“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season and I’ll think about it then,’ he continued in an interview with Lyon’s in-house television channel.
“There are things, but the press talk about a lot of clubs, but I trust what my agent tells me and we’ll see.”
