£65,000-a-week star posts a message for Arsenal fans after Friday’s transfer move

Arsenal’s latest signing in the January transfer window has sent out his first message to the Gunners faithful after agreeing to move to the Emirates stadium on Friday.
With Hector Bellerin still struggling to remain fit while the likes of Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac remain on the sidelines, the full-back positions have been up for grabs this season.
And even though deputies Bukayo Saka and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have been impressive when called upon, Mikel Arteta has decided to sign another full-back to bolster his squad.
The Gunners have confirmed today that Cedric Soares had completed a move to the Emirates stadium from Southampton, not too long before the closing of the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old, whose £65,000-a-week wages will be covered by Arsenal (Telegraph), will be on loan in north London for the rest of the season.
Upon signing for the Gunners, Soares has sent out his first message to the club’s supporters via social media, and lauded his new teammates as a ‘talented squad’ despite their below-par results this season.
The Portuguese star has also vowed to ‘work my hardest’ as he looks to help Mikel Arteta’s side secure a return to the Champions League this season.
