Arsene Wenger is odds-on to complete the signing of his main transfer target this summer according to a journalist’s claim.
The Gunners have so far managed to secure the acquisitions of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette who featured in last weekend’s Emirates Cup tournament.
But Wenger has also hinted in recent weeks that he might pursue another signing before the transfer window closes.
Thus, various reports have linked the Arsenal manager with a move for Thomas Lemar whom he has made several offers for this summer.
AS Monaco are believed to be unwilling to sell the 21-year-old, whom they value at £80m, but according to Emanuele Giulianeli, the deal will happen for sure.
The Italian journalist, who was first to break the news of Arsenal’s deal for Shkodran Mustafi last summer, is claiming that Lemar will indeed complete a move to the Emirates stadium.
Giulianeli further suggested that the delay in wrapping up the transfer deal is only because Monaco have not found a replacement for Lemar.
