Emmanuel Adebayor is likely to be unveiled as a Manchester City player later this week after a successful work permit hearing earlier today.

The Togolese was subject to obtain that document due to the fact that he is not an E.U player. Uefa rules demand such players acquire a work permit before being hired by a club.

The Arsenal striker attended a hearing in Manchester on Tuesday and Sky Sports News sources revealed there have been no complications with what is a routine process.

A fee in the region of £20-25million is what the Eastlands club offered to the Gunners and with Adebayor also promised a lavish weekly wage, either side will see a very mutual transfer deal.

Arsenal FC have kept calm on the potential sale of the Togolese, who is now poised to withdraw from the pre-season squad.
