Arsene Wenger has been handed a major boost in his quest to retain the services of most of his best players after this season.
With the Gunners struggling to finish in the top four of the Premier League amidst dressing room unrest, rumours have suggested that certain stars are seeking a departure this summer.
Lucas Perez in particular, has been linked with an immediate return to his former club Deportivo La Coruna.
However, the Spaniard’s agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle has now made it clear that Perez, who only moved to the Emirates stadium last summer for £17.5m, still wants to play for the Gunners.
“It’s not true and we haven’t been talking with anyone,” the forward’s agent said, as quoted by Goal.com
“Lucas has three years left on his contract with Arsenal.
“In the summer when the season is finished we can talk but right now we are only thinking about Arsenal.”
