Former Liverpool star Stan Collymore has directed heavy criticism towards Alexis Sanchez over how he has handled his Arsenal situation.
The Chile international managed to score 30 goals in all competitions last season, including the opening goal in the FA Cup victory over Chelsea.
However, Sanchez has endured a summer of uncertainty in regards to his future at the Emirates stadium.
The 28-year-old only has one more year remaining on his contract and his reluctance to renew the deal has prompted rumours of a move to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester City.
Sanchez appears to have passively expressed his desire to leave the club, especially after a couple of training ground disputes last season and the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Thus, Stan Collymore has bashed the Arsenal forward for behaving in a similar manner to Tottenham’s Danny Rose who recently went public with his grievances.
“Some Arsenal supporters seem happy to say, ‘Alexis Sanchez is a great guy, he’s a model pro’ but I am sorry, he is not.” Collymore said
“Like Danny Rose, he is a disgrace as well.”
Of course, almost exactly a month ago, Sanchez declared to reporters in Chile that he was yearning for Champions League football.
“I want to play in the Champions League,” he said
“The decision isn’t up to me, I need to wait for Arsenal.”
