Arsenal have been drawn against Bayern Munich, Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb in Group F of this Champions League campaign.
Under new UEFA rules for the draw, the Gunners were no longer placed in pot 1 which belongs to clubs who were champions of their domestic leagues last season.
Arsene Wenger’s men are familiar with most of this year’s opponents, having faced Olympiakos on three ocassions in recent years while Bayern have been their nemesis in the first knock-out round since 2013.
The Gunners last faced Dinamo Zagreb in a qualifying match in 2006 which saw Eduardo da Silva score against Arsenal before moving to London a year later.
Interestingly, all of Arsenal’s away games against Olympiakos in the past came on the final matchday of group stage and all the three trips ended in defeat.
