This is one of the summer’s sensational findings.

But it may have come late. A year ago and indeed just five months ago in January, many would have paid a fortune to capture a photo of the man who ignited every flame in one of the most strenuous transfer soap-operas – the ‘Arshavin to Arsenal’ saga.

How was this image found? Apparently Arshavin has ended his business affiliation with Dennis Latcher as an agent and it was announced earlier today on the player’s official site.

Indeed, Arshavin has chosen to stop Latcher from representing him, stressing Dennis’ new family life – hinged by a newborn son – and his former agent’s far location in Israel as reasons he chose to part ways.

“The official site of Andrey Arshavin reports about the curtailment of collaboration between the captain team Russia, player [FK] “arsenal” by Andrey Arshavin and Dennis Lakhter.”

It read on the site (in raw translation of Russian text ) with that scarce image aligned to it.

This is the man who once called Wenger a “cunning fox who says one thing and does the other” after the August 2008 summer passed without the Arsenal manager moving to lure his client.

This is the man who inferred that Arsenal players were jealous of the 28-year-old after his move to north London.

This is the man who uttered all the merry-go-round talks in January when Arsenal finally began to pursue Arshavin.

This is the man who most recently rebuffed claims Andrey would hop back home to Zenit to satisfy his wage demands.

The face of Dennis Latcher, Arshavin’s cunning fox, has been shown.
