This weekend will be all about Aaron Ramsey.

As if we have not heard enough about the Welshman whose rejuvenated form has propelled Arsenal to the top of the Premier League, Ramsey will be stealing the headlines before he even plays on Saturday as he makes a big visit to his homeland.

Tomorrow, the 22-year-old will return to his old club Cardiff City for the first time since 2009. That is where it all started for Aaron and on Saturday he will be back after five eventful years in London which has seen him rise, fall and rise again.

But Ramsey made his mark at the Emirates stadium before he even became a Gunner. On his first visit to Arsenal’s home ground in February 2007, a 16-year-old Ramsey scored for Cardiff City’s youngsters in their defeat to Arsenal in the FA Youth Cup quarter-final.

Cardiff’s no.8 at the time, Ramsey first attempted a trademark long range effort which was blocked by an Arsenal defender. But after his teammate’s follow up struck the woodwork, the Welshman was there to rebound the ball home.  A year later, he would be making a £5m transfer move to that same stadium.

And here was that goal…
