The Arsenal of 1998, Manchester City of 2012 and even Liverpool of last year will be nodding their head.

The Gunners’ impeccable form ever since succumbing to a 2-0 defeat at Southampton has seen them claw their way back to being level on points with the fourth-placed Saints and within a point of Manchester United in third.

Manchester City and Chelsea who are six and eleven points ahead respectively have also seen the distance between them and Arsene Wenger’s men reduced.

All of those numbers now have Arsenal, the top flight’s current in-form team, believing that the Premier League crown may not be out of reach after all.

English football has been no stranger to dramatic title climaxes in the past decade, and according to a Gooner who was inspired by Sunday’s show at the Emirates stadium, Arsenal should start aiming higher than fourth.

In 1998, Wenger’s men went from being 13 points behind United to a trophy celebration in May while Manchester City erased an eight-point deficit to snatch the title from the red devils almost three years ago.

And if not for pressing the self-destruct button in a pivotal home clash with Chelsea last term, Liverpool would have repeated that feat.

Thus, there are people like the fan below who are beginning to fancy how high Arsenal’s momentum could take them.

But is he right?
