Manchester City will welcome Arsenal without four key players in Sunday’s showdown at the Etihad stadium.

The Gunners need a victory to clinch a spot in the top three of the Premier League while their opponents are also aware that any more dropped points could open the door for fifth-placed Manchester United.

Arsene Wenger has an almost fully-fit squad to choose from but Manuel Pellegrini will be without three regular defenders and David Silva on Sunday.

The Spaniard and City’s skipper Vincent Kompany were unable to participate in Friday morning’s training session after sustaining a hamstring injury and a groin strain respectively.

With full-backs Aleksandr Kolarov and Pablo Zabalet also failing to recover in time for the weekend, former Gunners Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna are set to feature against their old club.

Arsenal, on the other hand, had a fit-again Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla in action during Friday’s first team training.
