Arsenal have been notified about the availability of one of their biggest transfer targets after a comment from the player’s national team coach.

Following an impressive season in the Bundesliga, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has attracted the interest of several clubs around Europe with Arsenal rumoured to be one of his suitors.

Arsene Wenger recently admitted that a world class goalscorer was one of his priorities in the total of three major signings he plans on making this summer.

And according to the Gabon national team’s coach Jorge Costa, the 26-year-old has made it clear that he wants to leave Dortmund this summer.

“Aubameyang has asked not to be selected [for the national team] because he is changing clubs,” Costa told RFI (via Goal) during an interview.

A spokesman of Dortmund recently hinted that the club would not accept any offer lower than a fee in the region of £70 million for the striker who scored 39 goals in all competitions last season.
