Arsenal have been boosted by a show of commitment from one of Europe’s brightest prospects with another transfer window full of speculation approaching.

Despite receiving much criticism for failing to land the signing of certain targets, the Gunners were eventually praised for their transfer business during the summer as the additions of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez were made in the nick of time before the window closed.

Following an encouraging start to the new campaign which sees Arsenal leading the Premier League after 10 games and into the next stages of the League Cup and Champions League respectively, Arsene Wenger’s efforts during the post-season appear to have paid off.

However, there have been uncertainty regarding the future of certain key players who might have caught the eye of rival clubs around Europe.

One of them is Hector Bellerin, a man frequently linked with a move to his childhood club Barcelona in a potential repeat of the Cesc Fabregas saga from a few years ago.

However, when asked about the likelihood of moving back to Spain, the 21-year-old told the London Evening Standard: “If I wanted to play there I would have stayed there.”

“I was very happy when Arsenal showed interest in me and I decided to come here. I’m not looking back, I’m just looking to help Arsenal. It’s nice for a player to know that big teams want you but I’m very happy here.

“I’ve still got three years left on my contract so I’m just focused on playing every single week, improving and hopefully making things happen here at Arsenal.

“I’m not in a rush to extend the contract. I’m happy. I’m comfortable. I want to be here a long time.”
