Perez admits frustration with Wenger’s regime
Arsenal forward Lucas Perez has once again displayed his dissatisfaction with limited playing time at the club.
The Spaniard moved to the Emirates stadium last August after Arsenal had missed out on the likes of Jamie Vardy and Gonzalo Higuain.
However, after being kept on the bench by Arsene Wenger for much of his debut season, Perez has been linked with an exit this summer.
And according to the 28-year-old, it is hardly a secret that he is in need of more playing time.
“I’ve not really played a lot but when I have, I’ve performed to the best of my ability,” the forward said
“I think if you look at how many minutes I’ve played and what seems proportionate for team, my stats are pretty good.
“Of course, I’d have liked to spend longer on the pitch but we have a big squad and some great players here at Arsenal.
“Selection is the job of the manager. He does what’s best for the team. Of course, Arsenal has many great players.
“The only thing you can do is work hard and wait for your chance to play. You don’t have a choice.”
