Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has remained tight-lipped about any plans of testing Arsenal’s resolve with an offer for Alexis Sanchez this summer.

The Arsenal forward, who only has a year remaining on his contract, has been in sublime form so far this season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions.

However, Sanchez’s reluctance to extend his deal at the Emirates stadium has prompted rumours suggesting that he could leave this summer.

Various reports have claimed that Chelsea are keen on signing the 28-year-old in a deal similar to the one which saw Robin van Persie leave the Gunners to join a local rival in 2012.

But when asked about the potential move for Sanchez, Antonio Conte maintained a cagey approach.

“You know I don’t like to speak about other players of other clubs,” the Italian tactician said, as quoted by Goal.com

“It’s disrespectful for the other club and, above all, for my players. It’s not the right moment to speak about this.”
