Agreement Reached: Arsenal to announce $7.7 million deal for 28-year-old star – Report
Arsene Wenger is wrapping up an agreement for what could be his first bit of business this summer.
Despite sending out several second string players on loan last summer, the Arsenal manager decided to complete the sale of only one player as Serge Gnabry joined Werder Bremen on deadline day.
But with a summer of rebuilding expected to take place at the Emirates stadium, there could be more permanent departures this time.
Indeed, according to the Sun, Arsenal have already reached an agreement with Fenerbahce over the transfer of David Ospina.
The 28-year-old, who lost his place as first-choice goalkeeper following the arrival of Petr Cech in 2015, is expected to complete a move to Turkey after the season is brought to an end.
Arsenal are reportedly set to receive a fee in the region of $7.7 million (£6 million) for the sale of Ospina.
As a result, Emiliano Martinez is likely to be promoted into the role of back-up goalkeeper with Wojciech Szczesny on course for a permanent switch to AS Roma or Napoli.
