Peter Crouch responds to Arsenal fans over ‘handball goal’
Petr Cech has posted a tongue-in-cheek response on Twitter to those who have slated him for his controversial goal on Saturday.
Prior to the introduction of Crouch, Arsenal were comfortably leading 2-0 thanks to goals from Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil.
However the former England international guided the ball home from a cross to pull a goal back for Stoke City and set up a nervy period for the away side.
Arsene Wenger was fuming on the sidelines and he was right to feel aggrieved as replays showed Crouch had scored with his hand and not his head.
And after being bashed by Arsenal fans for blatantly cheating, the striker sarcastically defended himself on Twitter that there was only a ‘slight suspicion’ that his goal was illegal.
