Arsenal issue important announcement after Europa League qualification as Gazidis promised
As chief executive Ivan Gazidis recently promised, the club has made an important announcement for fans following the conclusion of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.
The Gunners were able to secure a 3-1 win over Everton on Sunday which was their fifth successive victory in the Premier League.
However, that was not enough for Arsenal to avoid the disappointment of missing out on Champions League football for the first time in two decades.
As a result, the club has now announced that there will be a reasonable reduction in season ticket prices because of Europa League participation.
“The weekend results have confirmed that next season we will be competing in the UEFA Europa League,” a statement from the club said
“Obviously it’s disappointing for us all not to have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 20 years but we must now focus on a different competition, facing new teams and challenge to win the UEFA Europa League.
“…The club has always considered that pricing for the Europa would be different from the Champions League so we have reviewed our approach for next season and have applied a discount on your season ticket for the Europa League element.”
Reaction from fans:

Pleased that @Arsenal have decided our failure to qualify for the CL is worth a £174.50 reduction in the price of my season ticket…
