Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has opened up about what it is about his German teammates that he is envious of.

The 30-year-old represented France at Euro 2016 regularly as they made it all the way to the final of the competition last summer.

During Giroud’s career at Arsenal, the striker has helped the club win three FA Cups over the past four seasons, including the recent triumph over Chelsea.

However, the former Montpellier star has revealed the one trophy he admires his German teammates for winning is the World Cup.

“My ultimate dream for Les Bleus? To win the World Cup. This is the Holy Grail for a football player.” he said

“I am so jealous of Ozil and Mertesacker in the locker room of Arsenal, they were world champions with Germany in Brazil in 2014. I want to match them so that they stop talking.

“In addition, when you win this trophy, you have it for four years, so they have time to hear you.”
