Arsene Wenger has been handed his first injury concern heading into the upcoming season.

The Gunners were troubled by injuries for much of last term as their title aspirations collapsed during the second half of the campaign.

And only a month before the new season kicks off, Joel Campbell has now succumbed to a knee injury.

The 25-year-old was on duty with the Costa Rica national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup following his return from a loan spell in Portugal.

Campbell suffered the knee injury during the first half of the clash against Canada.

And the forward has now confirmed on Twitter that he will be pulling out of the national team squad for the rest of the tournament.
