Club official to fly over to Arsenal for talks over transfer of 28-year-old
Arsenal appear to have opened the door to a deal which would see another player offloaded before the start of the new season.
The Gunners have gotten rid of the likes of Chris Willock and Kaylen Hinds so far but there could be more higher-profile departures on the way.
Lucas Perez, who moved to the Emirates stadium from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, was unable to cement a place in the starting eleven during the 2016/17 season.
And according to a report by Turkish newspaper AmkSpor, broken by Sport Witness, Fenerbahce have now expressed a strong interest in signing the forward.
Indeed, the Turkish side’s general manager Hasan Cetinkaya is reportedly preparing to fly out to London for discussions with Arsenal over a deal for Perez.
And interestingly, Mesut Ozil is rumoured to be playing a role in convincing the Spaniard to give the greenlight to a move to Fenbercche.
