Arsenal readying move for 32-goal, €34m-rated forward as replacement for want-away man
The Gunners have reportedly identified another potential replacement for want-away star Alexis Sanchez this summer.
Sanchez has been linked with a move away from the Emirates stadium following a continued reluctance to renew his contract which expires in less than 12 months.
And while the Chilean superstar’s future remains uncertain, Wenger has picked out transfer targets who could fill his void in the squad.
According to the Daily Star, Wenger is now keen on signing Celtic star Moussa Dembele if Sanchez does end up leaving north London.
The report is suggesting that the French striker is the man whom Arsenal are ready to make a bid for in the event of an exit of last season’s top scorer.
After moving to Scotland from Fulham in the summer of 2016, the 20-year-old was in prolific form for Celtic in his debut campaign.
Dembele, who is reportedly valued at €34 million (£30 million), managed to score 32 goals in all competitions during the 2016/17 season.
